You'll need

  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1–2 teaspoons tomato powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Hot sauce, celery salt and black pepper to taste

Make it

Shake or stir until smooth. Serve over ice with celery or a lime wedge. Add vodka if desired.

Make only the amount you need—no open can left behind.

You'll need

  • 1 tablespoon tomato powder
  • 1 tablespoon water

Make it

Stir together until smooth. Add water a few drops at a time if you want it thinner. Makes about 2 tablespoons.

Quick Pizza Sauce

An easy no-cook sauce for pizza, stromboli or dipping.

You'll need

  • ¼ cup tomato powder
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and a pinch of sugar to taste

Make it

Whisk until smooth and let stand 5 minutes. Add a splash of water if needed, then spread on your crust.

You'll need

  • 2 tablespoons tomato powder
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • ¼ cup milk or cream
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Make it

Whisk the powder into warm broth. Simmer 3–5 minutes, stir in the milk, season and heat gently without boiling.

You'll need

  • 1 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon tomato powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Make it

Mix well, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes so the flavors can blend.

Adds tomato flavor without adding extra liquid.

You'll need

  • 1–2 tablespoons tomato powder
  • 1 pound taco meat or 1 medium pot of chili

Make it

Stir the powder into the seasoned meat or chili while it cooks. Add a little water only if the mixture becomes too thick.
